Our youth group,
"Gel", is dedicated to becoming a fellowship of brothers and sisters that fosters Growth,
Evangelism,
and Love.
We meet on Fridays at 8 PM in the GEL Room at church to fellowship and discuss
issues relevant to teens in middle school through high school. All are welcome to attend and join the fun.

in the month of August,2009:

- August 14: Dr. Doug Blount, professor from Dallas Theological Seminary will come and talk to the youth about the philosophy of apologetics. He will be giving us a unique view of apologetics, not just the arguments to defend our faith but also the underlying human beliefs and philosophies that drive towards effective apologetics.
- August 21: Movie Night! "Luther"
"A biopic film about the Protestant Reformer, Martin Luther,
a 16th century monk and theologian who clashed with the Catholic Church over the issue of papal authority and the sale of indulgences. "
Rated PG-13 for disturbing images of violence (MPAA).
- August 28: Ricky Chelette, founder of of Living Hope Ministries,
a ministry to homosexuals. If you have ever wondered why people struggle with homosexuality, come join us for Ricky's teaching. He will give a redemptive understanding of the development of same gender attraction and look forward to an honest and frank talk about sex.
